The Concept

I like simple elegance.
I endeavour to create a classic, traditional and functional hunting rifle

for the ethical and purist pursuit of game in the field.

Tradition demands a nice piece of walnut shaped in a classic form.

It is beautiful to behold.

I never tire of seeing those mineral streaks that God Almighty put in a

nice piece of walnut - every one a little different.

When held, I can’t help but giggle.

It brings joy to the heart and feels warm to the touch.

It is lively in the hand and becomes an extension of yourself. This rifle you carry over hill and dale becomes a delightful burden.

Tradition demands blued steel, a low luster gloss or satin finish.
Iron sights are a functional accessory.

In the field, I have had a rifle become inoperable 3 times, 2 were scope failures. The scope is the weakest link in the chain most of the time and iron sights are affordable, light and functional insurance. It adds a classic touch.

Who would take an expensive piece of "art" out in the field to get rained on, dinged and dented?  I do!  My wife of over 40 years has smile lines she didn’t have on our wedding day. She tells me I put them there.

The wear marks on a hunting rifle are like her smile lines...

They are good memories and I put them there!

This rifle has been to northern B.C. on a Stone Sheep Hunt, the Alberta Rockies on Elk Hunts and to Africa; where my sons and I used it to

take zebra, gemsbok, baboon, springbok and a lion!

Whether you are going to Africa for the Big 5 or out in the back of a cow pasture for a whitetail doe, a custom rifle is a part of a fantasy that you

can actually live out, and re-live every time you take it out of the cabinet!
